Jackie-Uh-Oh
Who is this Ms. KnowItAll, this Jackie Uh-Oh in her fabulous sunglasses and even more fabulous chapeau, you say?
She bears a certain resemblance to Linda Roach, the Portland, OR, freelance writer and editor who in her “day job” (which she actually often does in the middle of the night) reports and writes about v-e-r-y complicated things. Like molecular biology. And health care policy. And ophthalmology (a word that she has programmed her computer to type for her). The Bio page on this site will tell the omnivorous reader more about that.
Weird & Wonderful in PDX originated as a way for Linda to share some of the other esoteric knowledge acquired from a life journey that brought her to Portland in 1980. Early posts are heavy on recent experiences, though, so perhaps that’s where W&W in PDX will end up. We’ll see.
